ENID, Okla. – Enid police got a call around 7:30 a.m. Monday from Patriot Solutions, a business in rural, east Enid, saying an intruder had entered their back lot and waved a gun at several employees.
“A suspicious person had entered their compound and when they confronted them, that he had pulled a weapon on them,” Enid Police Lt. Eric Holtzclaw said.
The suspect ran southbound into a field and police arrived and set up a perimeter.
Their SWAT team began the search as they called in assistance from Oklahoma Highway Patrol for their helicopter and fixed wing aircraft.
They even stopped trains going through the area.
“We were able to get them going once we had the air units to be able to monitor to make sure nobody jumped on a train to escape,” Lt. Holtzclaw said.
Nearby Pleasant Vale Elementary school went on lockdown.
