2 arrested in crystal meth bust | Crime

Police in Blackwell say they netted cash, scales and a large quantity of crystal methamphetamine during an early morning bust Monday morning.

Around 6 a.m. this morning, the Blackwell Police Department executed a search warrant in the 300 block of W. Florence Ave.

During the search, they found drugs, drug making supplies and almost $5,000 in cash.

Authorities also found a sales ledger with names and amounts.

Officials say the residents told them they did not have jobs and sold drugs for a living.

Police arrested 63-year-old Mickey Ray Schnell and 32-year-old Lonnie Leon Easter for possession of CDS with intent to distribute within 2,000 feet of a public park and child endangerment.

An additional charge of trafficking methamphetamine is possible against both and other arrests may occur.
